Questions for TPV readers (aka, my family and girlfriend)
1. Got any blog requests? I find I have very little to say right now -- slooooow news week -- so I'm taking requests. Anyone? Anyone? Bueller?
2. Last week, I did some minor investigative journalism on Michael Vick. Would you like to see more of this sort of stuff, if it meant less frequent postings (e.g., maybe only one or two posts per week)?
3. What about videos? They're a cheap way to add posts, but I feel lazy adding them to the site. Do you like 'em?
4. Layout -- any ideas to make the site more interesting? I've tried to keep it basic, but I'm willing to play around with html if the need is there.

Cheerleader of the week....
We (family) came to be supportive and stayed because it’s interesting.
1. No blog requests; if you don’t find something interesting, we probably won’t either....
2. The Vick story was impressive as investigative journalism but, as above, more fun for all concerned in the long run to read what interests you rather than it being a burden.
3. Videos are fun (sometimes) but a link works if it’s too much trouble to embed ‘em.
4. Clean lay-out is nice and invites comments.
Question back to you about comments: how much is too much? (I spared you a long rant on Christopher Hitchen’s new book.)
In short, if it ain’t broke....

BD is right; I read your blog every day because it is interesting and entertaining, if somewhat ranty at times. But again, that makes it fun. However, it is supposed to be fun for you as well, so... don't write if you don't want to. After all, it's not like we pay you or something. smile
I like your human interest stories, and I really enjoyed reading about Vick and your research. That blog was informative as well as interesting, in showing how research can be done now with this new fangled internet. Sharing stuff like that is great.
Your LilSisther does not read your blog all the time (if ever) because she says it is always football or politics, and she could care less. Those ARE your main choices, but the rest of us like them, though baseball better than football. For some of us anyway.... Anyway, if you put some other stuff you just find interesting here and there, it will corral her into the family fold.
IxNay on the eerleaderchay.
What I like most is the connection for us all, so thank you, and write only when you want to. We will survive.

No cheerleaders, and something for sis -- gotcha.
BD, please provide a long rant about Hitchen's new book. I thought (think) it's fantastic, a real call to arms for those of use dismayed by the gradual dismantling of the Enlightenment. I'd think you'd be on board with this (even if you reject his Iraq claims). So what's your beef?
i scanned the whole page. left a comment about your eyebrows. i see nothing for sister! i want to hear about your zany adventures! your wacky friends! or how about "Modern Politics Reduced to the Least Common Denominator" for those of us with short attention spans?
